A Manning-Great Lakes police officer has allegedly been punched by a man in Taree just after four o’clock this afternoon.
The officer was taken to Manning Base Hospital with facial injuries.
Police attended a Victoria Street residence after reports of offensive behaviour, when it’s alleged a man struck the officer.
He was arrested nearby and taken to Taree Police Station.
