Dumaresq Dam is set to undergo a major transformation, with Armidale Regional Council giving its master plan the green-light.
The dam will become a recreational zone, with holiday cabins, a solar powered cafe and walking trails all pencilled into the plans.
The $340,000 commitment is separate from the overall wall upgrade, which council has allocated $3-million to complete.
