FIRE DESTROYS PORT MACQUARIE TAKEAWAY SHOP

A Port Macquarie takeaway shop has been gutted after a blaze broke out just before three o’clock on Friday afternoon.
Port Macquarie Fire & Rescue NSW commander, Gavin Muller says six people were evacuated as firefighters arrived at the business opposite Flynn’s Beach.
“On arrival we found an aggressive fire in the kitchen area, which was rapidly spreading to the roof and doors.”
Thankfully multiple crews were able to contain the blaze which spread to the second level.
Fire and Rescue have described it as an oil vat fire.
