Armidale is getting into the festive season, with council showing off its brand new Christmas tree.
The $30,000 silver spectacle is a staggering seven metres tall.
The first of its kind in Australia – the sparkling tree will be the centrepiece for the town’s Christmas celebrations.
Events will be held throughout December, with council hosting a movie night in the Armidale Mall on the 22nd.
