A motorcycle crash last night marked the second in just over 12 hours on north coast roads.
The Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter was tasked to reports a motorcycle had crashed down an embankment into trees, 5km north east of Mooball.
The 68-year-old rider was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition with multiple injuries.
It comes after yesterday morning’s fatal motorcycle crash involving a truck at MacLean.
Police have now launched a high visibility operation aimed at lowering the state’s road toll.
