Premier Mike Baird has made his first doorstop during his visit to the Hunter, talking to miners about the Drayton South open cut proposal.
Mr Baird will then head to Woodlands Stud at Denman, followed by Mount Thorley, where Rio Tinto’s extension project has been recommended for approval.
He’s expected to finish his trip by meeting with Bulga residents to discuss the Mount Thorley project.
