The Newcastle Jets have signed former Dutch international Kew Jaliens for the upcoming A-League season.
The 34-year-old central defender has spent the last three seasons playing for Polish team Wisla Krakow, and has represented the Netherlands on 10 occasions.
Coach Gary van Egmond says Jaliens is the final piece of the puzzle for the Jets’ playing squad.
“It is fantastic to have secured a player with Kew’s pedigree in what we identified as a key position for us,” van Egmond said.
He’s expected to start training in the next few weeks.
