A pedestrian has been seriously injured after being struck by a passing ute on the Gold Coast yesterday.
Police say that just before 6pm, a 45-year-old man was crossing Marine Parade in Southport, when he was struck by a ute.
The pedestrian was taken to hospital in a serious condition.
The driver of the vehicle is assisting police as investigations continue.
