More than four-and-a-half thousand tonnes of rubbish was recycled by Tamworth residents last financial year, but a recent waste audit has shown more than a quarter of items in local landfill didn’t belong there.
Now council has unveiled a new display to raise awareness during National Recycling Week.
“We like to try and keep it simple, so the display is just a nice, simple visual representation of what goes in what bin.”
The display will remain in the council foyer until the end of the week.
