Newcastle boxer Scott Edwards is the state’s new welterweight champion, following a dominant first round win over Dubbo’s Joel Galea at Wests City last night.
The Sapphire put Galea on the ground, before unleashing again… the referee stepping in after the third stoppage.
Edwards now has four KO wins from his four pro bouts – and is looking for his next opponent.
