Temporary fencing at The Entrance to protect endangered Little Terns

Over the coming weeks, temporary council fencing will be set up at Karagi Point to create a protected area where ‘Little Terns’ can nest at The Entrance.

The endangered birds are expected to migrate from South-East Asia to the Central Coast to breed next month.

Residents are urged to keep clear of the protected area, which contributes to the long-term survival of the species.
