It’s been a sad morning for a Hamilton resident, losing their pet cat in a house fire on Cleary Street this morning.
Fire crews arrived on scene just after 8 o’clock.
Two bedrooms were gutted by the blaze, which also caused extensive smoke damage.
Fire investigators are working to determine what caused the fire – it’s believed to have started at the front of the house.
