A large piece of Taree’s history went on the chopping block last night, for the first time in 117 years.
The heritage listed Manning River Times building sold for $851,000 dollars to an anonymous local buyer, and will be available for lease.
The local paper will now be moving to Victoria Street at the end of next month.
