Police are appealing for public assistance after a 25-year-old woman was sexually assaulted at Speers Point yesterday.
The woman was standing under Five Islands Bridge on Creek Reserve Road at about 7.30pm, when she was grabbed from behind by a man.
The man threatened her with a knife before sexually assaulting her and fleeing the scene.
The man is described as being at least 188cm tall, having a skinny build and with short dark hair.
He was wearing white shoes, a dark blue jumper and dark pants.
