Former Hamilton Hawk Eric Vasukicakau has helped Perth to its first National Rugby Championship title, beating the New South Wales Country Eagles in Tamworth.
The Spirit was leading 20 points to eight when Vasukicakau came on as a substitute, and he was determined to make an impact.
The home side scored a late try to make it 20-16, but Perth held on to beat the minor premiers.
