The Jets have signed former Adelaide youth league midfielder Johnny Koutroumbis.
Coach Mark Jones worked with Koutroumbis during the South Australian NPL season.
The 18-year-old trained with the Jets all week and has now signed on with Newcastle until the end of the season.
He joins the club as an injury replacement for Daniel Alessi, who suffered an A-C-L injury during the pre-season.
