It was a case of right place, right time for police officers who happened to be walking past this Broadbeach Laundry and spotted a fire inside one of the dryers.
They tried to put it out before fire crews arrived.
“QPS did a fantastic job identifying the fire was there and taking initial actions however the smoke was too much”
Thankfully, these charred clothes were the only casualties.
