A suspicious briefcase has sparked a bomb scare in Port Macquarie.
The building, which houses the electorate office of State MP Leslie Williams, was sent into lockdown after someone reported the unattended bag.
Hundreds of workers were evacuated while police and firefighters inspected the area.
It turned out the briefcase was accidentally left behind overnight.
