Kootingal and Moonbi will soon know what the future holds for their water supply.
The Department of Primary Industries is expected to deliver results regarding uranium levels on Thursday.
Tamworth Council was forced to shut down four bores in the area in August, when routine testing discovered double the acceptable amount of uranium in the water supply.
The towns have since been using Tamworth’s water system.
