A 15-year-old boy is in a serious but stable condition after being stabbed at Caves Beach overnight.
He was at a party on Spoon Rocks Beach at around 10pm when he became involved in an argument with another partygoer, who stabbed him in the lower abdomen.
The attacker fled, while the victim was helped to a nearby house before being treated by paramedics and taken to John Hunter Hospital.
Police are trying to identify the offender.
