NEW CATTLE PAVILION IN SIGHT FOR TAREE

It will be out with the old, and in with the new for the Taree Show Society, which is now able to replace its condemned 90-year-old cattle pavilion at Taree Showground.

The state has contributed $120,000 towards a new, dual-purpose shed.

“Well it’s certainly important for the cattle industry, it will give us a venue to hold many cattle shows and sales so it will be a very significant event once it’s up, open and going.”

It won’t be ready in time for the 2016 show though – which is held next month.
