An elderly woman has died in a car crash in the New England region this morning.
Shortly after 5am, emergency services responded to reports of a car leaving the road and rolling on Oakhurst Road, Deepwater, north of Glenn Innes.
A 76-year-old woman was treated by paramedics, but died at the scene.
The 36-year-old male driver also received treatment at the scene before being taken to hospital.
Police investigations are continuing.
