A 4G Shark Listening Station destroyed by an East Coast Low in June, won’t be replaced until October.
The buoy broke away from Lennox Head’s Seven Mile Beach during extreme weather conditions.
A spokesperson from the Department of Primary Industries says researchers are now working with engineering teams in Western Australia and Canada to model the station under a range of weather conditions.
