Lismore City Council has confirmed there are cases of the potentially-fatal Parvovirus in the area.
The disease is highly contagious and can affect puppies and unvaccinated dogs.
Residents are being urged to ensure their pets’ vaccinations are up-to-date and look out for common symptoms like lethargy, vomiting and diarrhea.
