- Around 20 people have been rescued from a burning unit block in Sydney – five were taken to hospital.
- The Commonwealth Bank has posted a full-year cash profit to $9.45 billion – up three per cent on last year.
- And the Newcastle Knight’s James McManus has announced his retirement from the NRL.
