Access to a popular fishing spot in Ballina will soon be restricted, with repair work expected to start next month.
The $480,000 project will see 50 large concrete blocks placed at the head of the south wall.
Once in place, a pathway will be sealed with bitumen to improve pedestrian access.
The work is part of the state government’s Coastal Infrastructure Program.
