Meanwhile, the region’s junior rugby union players will fly the Central North flag at the New South Wales Country Championships in Nowra this weekend.
The zone is fielding an under 16s and 17s side, with the juniors tipped as a team to watch.
Central North coach, George McMullen, said with the 16s they’ve got both, they’ve got big forwards that are mobile and they’ve got pretty quick backline so basically they’re well balanced
Nine zones will contest the championships, with country jerseys up for grabs.
Moree will host the under 14s and 15s competition next weekend.
