Plans for an ocean pool at Ballina have taken a step forward.
Council has voted to allocate $15,000 towards environmental and engineering reports.
Once complete, an application will be submitted to council for consideration.
“This will provide a safe swimming environment for both locals and tourists right down here on the beach, so the young, the old – everyone will be able to use it all year round.”
If approved, it’s hoped construction will start next year.
