Coffs Harbour City Council says it will seek alternative funding options to help pay for the city’s new regional museum.
This is despite the fact that work has begun on refurbishing the old court house building in Harbour Drive, at a cost of $650,000.
The Abbott Government recently announced a contribution towards the project promised under Labor would not be proceeding.
Council will now consider making an application to the recently established Community Development Grants Program.
It’s hoped the new museum can still be completed in six months.
