In a setback to the Macleay Valley Mustangs, the team has dropped from first to second on the Group 3 ladder, after losing three competition points.
Group 3 officials imposed the penalty after it found coach Willie Lockwood was not accredited during the team’s round 10 win against Forster-Tuncurry at the weekend.
The club says Lockwood missed his re-accreditation course due to a personal matter, but will be back on track for round 11.
Lockwood will complete a catch-up course this week.
