- A serious cold front is sweeping its way across the country’s south-east. The nation’s capital has woken up to snow blanketing its landmarks, as temperatures plummeted overnight. In NSW, wild gale force winds have brought down a tree, crushing a man in his car near Wollongong.
- Embattled rugby league player Corey Norman has pleaded GUILTY to drug possession charges – after being found with ecstasy pills at Sydney’s Star Casino in May. The 25-year-old has been convicted, and fined. The Parramatta Eels player is also being investigated by his club – for a lewd video that was reportedly sent to friends.
- The Prime Minister will meet with Nationals Leader Barnaby Joyce today, to nut out a deal between the Coalition parties. The Nationals secured an extra seat at the election, opening up the possibility of another position in the Cabinet.
- Homes have been reduced to piles of wood and rubble after tornados tore through the Midwest of the United States. Towns in Minnesota and Wisconsin were among the hardest hit.
- Taylor Swift has taken time out from her romantic holiday down under, to make a secret visit to some of her biggest fans at a Children’s hospital in Brisbane.
- The Blues are desperate to re-claim their pride with a win in tonight’s State of Origin finale. It’s been confirmed today that Matt Moylan will come into the starting side, replacing the injured Adam Reynolds, leaving Bird to come off the bench.
