The construction of a new community centre in South Moree will begin next month, with the state government today committing $100,000.
The centre will be built in Cooee Park, and service social housing blocks.
“Council will turn it into a community meeting centre with undercover meeting space, picnic area,BBQ lighting, playground equipment. The objective is to make it a real focal point for the community to allow some of the elders to mix with the young people”, says Member for Northern Tablelands Adam Marshall.
