A forecast of heavy rain for this weekend has seen a drag racing competition in Gunnedah cancelled.
With 60 millimetres predicted across the two days, organisers decided to make an early decision.
Drivers from all over the state were due to compete.
The event is likely to be held on August 20 and 21.
