After the longest election campaign in history voting is now underway in New England, with pre-polling opening in Tamworth today.
Greens candidate, Mercurius Goldstein, arrived bright and early to spruik his support for ‘National Tafe Day’.
He also revealed where the party’s preferences lie.
“The Greens local members in New England have decided to preference Tony Windsor in the second spot and Barnaby Joyce as Nationals last on the ticket.”
Independent candidate, Rob Taber, also campaigned outside, saying he won’t be allocating preferences.
“A true independent doesn’t allocate preferences, yeah so, that’s the way it’ll be.”
