It was business as usual in Taree on Sunday, after a gas leak at the United petrol station on Victoria Street caused the main road to close for several hours on Saturday.
Dozens of people from nearby homes and businesses were forced to evacuate at about midday.
Emergency Services declared the area safe just before five-o’clock.
