There’s a new political party on the scene and it’s set to field both upper and lower house candidates in the upcoming federal election.
Tamworth’s Chris Buckman is the lead senate candidate for CountryMinded, a party that was only officially registered in April.
It’s the first time the disability worker has entered politics.
“The party was formed to provide that third choice, or real alternative, to the two majors, we’re in it for the long run and we’re very serious about making sure that there’s a rural and regional focus.”
