Police have charged a man after several guns, drugs and fireworks were allegedly found in a home at Toronto.
Officers say they were responding to a disturbance at a house in Cockatiel Street when they seized a flare gun that had been modified to fire bullets, a pump action shotgun, a rifle barrel, sling shot and ammunition.
A 26-year-old man was charged with a string of offences including possessing a loaded firearm in a public place, possessing or using a prohibited weapon without a permit and handling explosives without an authorising license.
He was refused bail in Newcastle Local Court today.
Just curious to why this made the news but not the siege that happen last Thursdays night didn’t get a mention at all on nbn news or the herald??
