DIGGERS WORK WITH COLLEGIANS TO START JUNIOR BASE

It may have taken the Oxley Diggers three years, but they’ve finally got a junior team.

After pairing with the Collegians club, who don’t have seniors, an Under 16s side was entered in the Group 4 competition.

Just two players came from other teams, with the majority of the 17-person squad having never played before, or have returned to the sport after a year off.

It’s hoped the players stick together, and feed into Oxley’s strong Under 18s side.
