A woman has died after being struck by a car in the Hunter Valley last night.
Police say just after 6pm yesterday a 61-year-old woman was struck by a Toyota Corolla and died at the scene on Dalton Avenue at Singleton.
The driver of the vehicle, a 22-year-old woman, was arrested and taken to hospital before being taken to Muswellbrook Police Station. She has since been released.
Police have been told the two women were known to one another but are not believed to be related.
Investigations are continuing.
