Medical students in the North West will soon have some additional facilities to choose from, after the federal government announced a new regional training hub will be set up in Tamworth.
Operating through the University of Newcastle’s Department of Rural Health, the facility will give more opportunities for students to live, study and work in a regional area.
The hub will allow medical students to specialise and potentially stay in the bush.
