Reconciliation Week was officially opened in Tamworth today with a traditional smoking ceremony at Council.
Mayor Col Murray joining in the celebration, with some traditional painting.
2016’s theme is ‘Our History, Our Story, Our Future’, and comes during a push to have Indigenous people recognised in the Australian Constitution.
