A 75-year-old Tyringham man is recovering in Coffs Harbour hospital after he was overcome by carbon monoxide gas yesterday afternoon.
The man was airlifted from a rural property in a critical condition after he collapsed in an underground tank while operating a cleaning device, powered by a petrol engine.
Three other men who were also in the tank were admitted to hospital in a stable condition.
