Former priest Vincent Gerard Ryan has admitted to molesting and trying to have sex with a boy in the Newcastle area, in 1984.
The 78-year-old pleaded guilty to three charges in Sydney’s Downing Centre District Court today, prompting prosecutors to drop four others.
He will be sentenced in August.
