Junction Yoga beat Junction Stella, while Souths survived a scare to overcome Nova.
Their first game in the top flight and Nova Thunder impressed, the young side taking it to the champions.
Both sides were even at the first term, but the Lions class began to shine through, Georgia McVey playing a key role.
