A Cessnock butcher’s shop was closed today, following an armed robbery early this morning.
Two men entered the shop on Maitland Road just before 5am and threatened the owner.
The offenders had their faces covered and fled the scene with cash.
The 58-year-old shop owner wasn’t injured.
Police are appealing to the public to come forward with any information.
