Meanwhile, work on Manilla’s $10-million Water Treatment Plant is continuing with the production of a detailed design.
Tamworth Regional Council has chosen an engineering service after a seven-week tender process.
The new plant will replace the existing one on Court Street and offer Manilla a more secure water supply, sourcing raw water from both the Namoi and Manilla Rivers.
The detailed design is expected to be completed in August, before tenders will be called for construction.
