DESIGN WORK FOR COFFS BYPASS ABOUT TO BEGIN

Construction work on a Coffs Harbour Bypass to the west of the city is a step closer to getting underway.
Engineering firm Arup Australia has been selected to undertake an environmental impact study and create a concept design for the $1 billion project.
Federal MP Luke Hartsuyker is confident major earth works will begin within the next four years.
“It’s clearly some years away but it’s important that we get it started just as quickly as possible,” Mr Hartsuyker said.
Last month, the project was listed as nationally significant by Infrastructure Australia.
