The Yamba Surfing Festival scheduled for this weekend has been postponed until the end of May.
Organisers were concerned the number of state qualifying events in recent weeks, could impact adversely on competitor and crowd numbers.
Surfing New South Wales says the festival will now be held in Yamba over four days beginning on May 28.
Over 150 surfers will compete in shortboard and longboard events, which will decide the male and female teams for the Australian Surf Festival in Coffs Harbour in August.
