More than $11-million has been awarded by the Australian Rail Track Corporation, towards planning for the Inland Rail project.
The proposed project has been on the agenda for more than a decade, and would provide a direct line from Brisbane to Melbourne.
Moree expects to be a major benefactor of the freight service, with Council calling it a ‘game changer’ for regional economies.
