A 33-year-old man is in a stable condition, after being stabbed during an attempted armed robbery at Rutherford.
Police say he was walking near the intersection of Aberglasslyn Road at around 9:30 last night, when he was punched and then stabbed in the leg by two men.
They demanded his wallet and keys, but he refused, and the pair ran away.
Both men are described as being Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander in appearance, in their early 20s, with slim builds.
